Otago historic accommodation, NZ is an experience in itself. At Oliver's Lodge and Stables you'll experience modern luxury combined with the building's historic past.

The Naylor Room

Oliver's Naylor Room is dedicated to Benjamin Naylor, a man of remarkable foresight, who arrived in Clyde in 1862 at the time of the Otago gold rush and built the New Victoria General Store, the homestead, barn and stables which all still stand today. In 1929 an art deco restoration transformed this room with the addition of an ornate plaster ceiling, art deco fireplace and a large bay window.

This historic New Zealand accommodation allows you to experience history with modern luxuries, with a contemporary bathroom which has private access to Olivers' spacious front lawn and gardens. SuperKing bed (splits to twin singles) - quality cotton linen - feather duvets - eiderdown - en suite - claw foot bath. A freshly baked, hot breakfast is included in the rate.

The Horn Room

In 1909 James Horn bought the Olivers complex describing it to friends as a "residence built of stone that has every modern convenience with outhouses of stone."

The Horn Room is a far cry from its early 20th century predecessor although it retains the same romantic charm.

The luxurious room, with its 1880s fireplace and bay window, has an exquisitely draped Victorian half-tester bed while the bathroom features a claw foot bath and shower. The room provides easy access to the secluded Olivers' courtyard. King half-tester bed - quality cotton linen - feather duvets - eiderdown - en suite - claw foot bath. A freshly baked, hot breakfast is included in the rate.

The Sullivan Room

The name Fleur Sullivan and Olivers are synonymous and The Sullivan Room recognises her incredible contribution as a Central Otago tourism and hospitality pioneer.

Fleur acquired the property in 1981 and named it Olivers. Her vision and skill established Olivers as a leading restaurant which became nationally and internationally renowned.

The grand and spacious Sullivan Room is aptly named, being the former homestead dining room. It is superbly furnished with ornate wall paper and features a 19th century fireplace and sash window overlooking Olivers' extensive front lawn and gardens. Super-King bed (splits to twin singles) - quality cotton linen - feather duvets - eiderdown - en suite. A freshly baked, hot breakfast is included in the rate.
